The ever popular Darwen 1940’s Day returns to Darwen Market this month. The event which celebrates the culture and era of the 1940’s and World War II has become a massive hit with visitors over the years.
The main events take place in the Market Square and this year will feature various entertainment throughout the day including Linda Dee, Ricky Lee, Vicky Rothwell, Malcom Povah, Robert Burns and The Lytham St. Annes’ Spitfire Display.
There will be a Winston Churchill impersonator and a Home Guard display.
Other family focused attractions include Punch & Judy, a 1940’s carousel, WWII vehicles, Sniper Alley and stalls including Darwen Days and Dambusters mini museum.
Come along in forties gear and enjoy this ever popular family event.
The event takes place on Saturday 30th August 2014, with the main activities in the Market Square.
