A Darwen teenager has given the town’s market a re-brand for its newly launched website.
Darwen Aldridge Community Academy head boy Harry Eastham has designed a logo for the market after pitching his idea to bosses.
It was the latest in a string of impressive achievements for the 16-year-old, of Kings Drive, Hoddlesden, who already runs his own business, Onyx Media, from DACA’s Entrepreneurship Bridge.
The logo features a fingerprint shaped as the market’s iconic clock tower with a heart at its centre, depicting its uniqueness at the heart of the town.
Harry said: “I was given a challenging brief as the logo needed to be attractive to both young and old, giving the markets a fresh look but also retaining the history.
“I knew that a full brand was needed rather than just a logo and so created a new identity for the market.
“It was a fantastic experience and I learned a lot through the process.
“Presenting my ideas to traders and management I learned what questions clients will ask and how to incorporate feedback to my work.
“I was very happy that they were so delighted with the result and being given the chance to incorporate it into their new website is brilliant.”
