A pop-up living room designed to help demonstrate fall hazards in the home will make its second appearance, as part of Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council’s FALLSTOP campaign, at Darwen Market on Friday 6th March 2015.

The FALLSTOP campaign aims to raise awareness of simple steps people can take to stay on their feet and carry on doing the activities they enjoy as they get older.

As part of the campaign, the FALLSTOP Challenge includes a mock-up living room, set-up to include common fall hazards.  Members of the public are invited to spot as many hazards as they can and everyone who takes part is entered into a free prize draw.

Councillor Mohammed Khan, the Council’s executive member for health and adult social care, said: “The FALLSTOP Challenge was a great success when it made its first appearance at The Mall in Blackburn in February.  Now appearing at the Market Hall at Darwen Market all day on Friday 6th March, we’re hoping more people will come along and take part.”

To take part in the Challenge just come along on the day.
